A tsunami is a series of ocean waves caused by underwater earthquakes, landslide or volcanic eruptions.
There are two plates at the bottom of the sand and about 200 years the plates come together and go onto one and pulls the water back and 14 countries’s it kilt 12000 people.
Tsunamis can travel speeds of about 500 miles or 805 kilometres per hour which is almost as fast as a jet plane.
